The best part about Glad Tidings is, our office is on wheels, so we will come straight to you. We know how hard it is sometimes to navigate without a car, bus fare, no gas, and the list goes on, but just know we got you!!!!

I chose the words “Glad Tidings” for my ministry because it bridges the gap between all religions. No matter what our belief systems are, we all want to hear good or favorable news about our future and current situations.


Our mission at Glad Tidings (Good News) is to support and heal families that are facing the devastating circumstances of homelessness through love, understanding, and compassion. As we all know homelessness can happen to anyone in the blink of an eye. Regular life events such as: divorce, loss of employment, or unexpected expenses can wreak havoc on an already delicate budget. We are here to help ease that burden, give hope, and walk hand and hand with our clients in the direction towards new beginnings with a renewed vision and focus. 


Glad Tidings delivers and hands out "Hope Bags," hygiene bags, conducts pop-up meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner), pays for motel rooms where funds are available. We help with job applications and placement, resume writing, interview preparation (mock interviews, clothes etc). Our Team also helps with Food Stamp and Medicaid applications, Social Security and Unemployment Benefit applications., and any other applications or paperwork that will help our clients move forward. We also conduct free individual life and spiritual coaching services using both our college education, and spiritual knowledge. God has given us the ability to help others battle the warfare that is blocking them and keeping them from moving forward. We provide them the tools and resources God gives us through our spiritual gifts and insight that will ensure a breakthrough in their current situation. This includes intercessory prayers as well. We also work with individuals towards healing those things that have kept them blocked and held back from their destiny for so long.


Not only do we focus on the plight of the homeless, Glad Tidings also provides services for incarcerated individuals who need assistance reaching out to family members, attorneys, and other legal services. This includes funds for food, phone calls, and hygiene products. We also sit on meetings with individuals who are facing situations where there is a immediate threat of losing their children, independence or freedom. With these individuals more often than not, having no family support, this is a scary and overwhelming time, so having an advocate in place gives them a sense of confidence and relief. Our team has sat in on meetings with the Georgia Department of Human Services (Division of Aging Services, Division of Family and Children Services) to ensure our clients had an advocate who not only knew their personal situation and circumstances, but was also looking out for their best interest. This includes clients who are in the hospital having to make life altering decisions that will effect their present and future. Even, if we were unable to change the outcome of the situation, we were still there to offer prayers, support and advice on how to move forward. We have also assisted clients who are having to deal with the local police departments for various reasons including domestic violence situations. We realized that sometimes it's hard for our clients to know how to navigate the systems that are in place, but having someone there who can ask the right questions and speak on their behalf is a true blessing.


Another service Glad Tidings provides is assistance for those suffering from drug and or alcohol addiction. At Glad Tidings we have an in-depth understanding of the struggles that go hand and hand with the addiction. So, this gives us the knowledge and ability to not only make sure they have the basic necessities, but to also help them get into a a rehabilitation program, or a program that will get them off the streets and in an environment which will encourage their healing. Sometimes, they simply need an advocate to speak on their behalf or help them walk through the process, including the mounds of paperwork.


Most people expect an individual experiencing homelessness to just get up and go not understanding the spirit has been broken. You have been shaken up, taken out of your regular element, and placed in an unfamiliar situation and environment. It feels like your life is spiraling out of control, and there is nothing you can do to stop what is happening. Speaking from personal experience, it is one of the most powerless feelings in the world not only for a woman, but children as well, which makes it even more of a priority to work with the overall individual before sending them back out into a unstable situation.


Our team has a in depth understanding that healing and recovery from homelessness is not a one size fits all. I want our ministry to be a place where the healing process of the mind body and spirit can begin. I want each individual to experience a breakthrough that will not only free them from the cycle of poverty and homelessness but also reignite the fire in their hearts to start over and reclaim their lives. We want to show each individual that life does not end with this roadblock or set back. I want them to see that although the path seems uncertain and dark, there is still a way to move forward. Many times, in our lives what appears as an end, is only God giving us a chance at a new beginning.


Our mission is to effectively address the causes and complexities of the homeless and working poor by providing food, clothing, case management services, treatment services, transitional planning for short and long term goals, housing, education, employment, and another chance towards independence and success. We are here to ease that burden, give hope, and walk hand and hand with our families in the direction towards self-sufficiency with a renewed vision and focus.


Although, I am a certified life coach who has changed lives for women and men all over the globe, I like to refer to myself as more of a Breakthrough Coach. I know you are probably wondering what exactly is a Breakthrough Coach, so let me explain. Whether it be breakthroughs in our finances, relationships, careers, spirituality, perspectives or even thought patterns, sometimes it’s as simple as having somebody listen and point you in the right direction. You may have everything you need for your breakthrough, but that one word of encouragement, or push in the right direction is all you need to change your life forever. 


I will tell you, I never thought in a million years that God would place me in an environment where I would experience “on the job training” for those he would be calling me to serve. Me and my children experienced homelessness in every form from sleeping outside, to our car, homeless shelters, and moving from motel to motel. For two and a half years, God literally made me walk the walk, day in and day out. No short cuts. I experienced the setbacks, disappointments, blockages and I quickly learned what it can do to the spirit of even one of the strongest individuals. Glad Tidings is what got me through each day. Just when I thought I couldn't take anymore, God would send his angels and soldiers to remind me of who I am and his promises he made to those who remain patient and steadfast during adversity. I wish I would have had somebody there to coach me over the many hurdles I came up against but many times it was just me, my children and the Most High. 


My prayer is that Glad Tidings on the GO, can be that place where you can lean in and know that God will work in mighty ways to improve your situation, or point you in the direction that will move you forward once and for all.
